Rossmary Valverde was born in Lima, Peru in 1969. A self taught artist, Valverde's paintings reflect her childhood memories of Peru. Painted in bold, bright colors, they attract the viewer to look past the deception of simplified forms to the texture and complexity within. She often mixes sand and stones into the paint or adds a wooden border to her canvas on which she continues the tableau. Since Gallery 444 first began showing her paintings in 1995, Rossmary has delighted collectors from around the world. Over the years, many of her paintings have been exported to Canada, England, Ireland, Japan, Hong Kong, Australia, Mexico, Israel, Europe and into every region of The United States.

Her first solo show was held at Gallery 444 in November 1996. Shortly before her second show in 1998, one of her works was prominently featured in the Phoenix edition of Home and Garden.

Valverde most has recently illustratred a bi-lingual children's book entiled "KIllari". The story is written by Rossmary's sister, Monica.

Killari was Released in March of 2008.

Reviewers from the Microsoft Network's Sidewalk / San Francisco speak with great admiration of her talent :

“This bright and shinning new star of the art world continues to maintain the purity and innocence of her vision.”
